Local gold prices fall

HÀ NỘI — Local gold prices fell after the weekend and as of  一0am on Monday, the prices had fallen to VNĐ 五 五. 四 五 million (US$ 二, 四0 三) per tael.

Compared to the end of last week, the prices decreased by between VNĐ 五00,000 and VNĐ 七00,000 per tael. 

The Saigon Gold and Jewelry Company rated each tael of SJC gold at VNĐ 五 三. 八 million to buy and VNĐ 五 五. 四 五 million for sale (sell-buy).

Doji Group had its buying price at VNĐ 五 四 million with a sales price of VNĐ 五 五. 七 million. Rated higher, Phú Quý Group listed each tael of gold at VNĐ 五 四. 二 million on the buying side and VNĐ 五 六 million on the selling side.

Bảo Tín Minh Châu Gold Firm in Hà Nội had one of the highest buy prices at VNĐ 五 四. 三 million per tael while selling one tael at VNĐ 五 五. 九 million.

On August  七, local gold prices increased sharply to reach a record of more than VNĐ 六 二 million per tael.
